Again, I have no words to describe how much I liked it. Benjamín Alire Sáenz is now one of my favorite authors. He treats subjects like addiction, depression, ptsd with a delicacy and knowledge that makes the reading very compelling. The book just flies, when you realize you're like 10 pages awa...
I bought this book after I fell in love with his writing in "Aristotle and Dante discover secrets of the universe". I knew that this book was not a romance (really I do read a lot of books in other genres :)), but subject matter hinted strongly that I need to be in the appropriate mood before starti...
It was the intensity and commitment to each other. The honestly and the hope. The realism and the harshness of it all. Zach finds himself in rehab but how does he get there? He does not remember. The dreams that haunt Zach night and day with images of blood were just glimpse of his past. The ...
Zac's story is quite interesting, it hooked me in from the very first page and I couldn't look away. All of his struggles and pains and monsters are quite complex and unique and quite relateable. $10 on Amazon 05/23/2012. This book sounds like it could speak to my heart, but need to wait for a darker mood to read it. I already want Zach to "win" and I've only read the blurb!

At the same time, this story doesn’t grip me—and I mean really, truly grip me—the way other books do. I’m talking about books like There Are No C...
Zach is in rehab and does not want to remember.... It takes until the end of the book to find out what happened to him. Interesting read. Memorable characters.
