LATEEF TERRELL WARNICK is a Financial Advisor, Business Consultant, Life Coach, Keynote Speaker & Spiritual Author. He is holistic financial expert who promotes financial freedom, well-being and the nurturing of the complete person in body, mind & spirit. If you want to reach your greatest potential, his books are for you! If you feel the world can use more love, his books are for you! If you are tired of an unfulfilled life, his books are for you!Lateef was born in the South Bronx, NY and spent his childhood between there and Miami, FL. The South Bronx in the 70's and 80's was stricken by poverty, crime and drug abuse. Miami was a little less severe and more middle-class at the time so he had exposure to different worlds. This afforded him the opportunity to develop an "outsiders" perspective to view people's behaviors in different environments. He had the chance to visit many different churches due to the diverse religious beliefs of his extended family members. However, his parents always encouraged him to read and seek the answer to spiritual questions for himself. By the time he was 12 he was introduced to some eastern teachings and new age thought. This would become the spark for his own spiritual journey. By the time he was 16 his parents would divorce essentially leaving him to become a "man" on his own and begin to make adult decisions. He had the foresight to see he was heading down the wrong road based on the company he kept and the trouble he was finding himself in. He made the mature decision to leave New York for Atlanta to complete his last year of high school. Two weeks after graduation, he joined the Navy at the age of 17. He would go on to complete the Navy's toughest curriculum in the Nuclear Engineering Program. He would get commissioned to become a Naval Officer and complete 10 years of honorable service. However, Lateef longed to find his way as an entrepreneur in the civilian world. After separating from the Navy, he found himself back to square one. Just the year prior he was getting saluted now he was working as a receptionist fetching coffee for an ungracious boss. Lateef began soul searching for his place in this world. He would try his hand in many fields as a Math & Science Teacher, Realtor and Advertising Salesman. However, none of these lines of work gave him inner satisfaction. In 1999, he decided to return to New York and begin a career in the investment industry. He was offered a job at the world trade center. However in December of 2000, he would get a letter from a former student expressing her desire that she wished he was her dad. This letter impacted him emotionally and he decided to reach out to his ex-wife who was caring for their daughter in Orlando, FL. He didn't want his daughter writing a similar letter to one of her teachers one day. He and his ex both agreed to relocate to Atlanta, GA. He informed his boss that he appreciated all of her help and left his place of employment around February of 2001. Seven months later the world trade center was destroyed on 9/11. Lateef realized then that he could've been in that building along with all the other victims. The lesson he took from this experience was that money should never be our primary motive. We all have a quiet inner voice guiding us to grow. If we learn to follow our intuition we will always find ourselves in the best place for our own self-discovery. Unfortunately, the 9/11 tragedy would lead to greater divisiveness among the masses. Polarizing views would surface between religions, nations and cultures. Lateef through his lifetime studies believed that all religions taught a similar message and even had common roots. Lateef was exposed to rantings from friends and colleagues about others that would cause him to cringe. He was shocked to see the darker sides of people who become engrossed in anger.Lateef decided to follow the advice of Dr Martin Luther King Jr who expressed "Darkness cannot cast out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot cast out hate; only love can do that!" Rather than engage in fiery rhetoric, Lateef decided to write down his thoughts on love, unity and spirituality. This would lead to become his first book "Know Thyself: To Awaken Self-Realization." He created his own spiritual book publishing imprint 1 S.O.U.L. which is an acronym for "One Source Of Universal Love." Lateef had finally realized his passion and calling was to simply help others. In fact, he believes this is the calling of ALL of us - to help one another. This is the secret to success! We all help others in our own unique ways. We do it through science, art, entertainment, philanthropy, athletics and so on. Lateef simply does it by writing, advising, educating and inspiring others in body mind spirit.BODY: We all would like to be the healthiest we can be for as long as we can. Diet, exercise, Ayurveda and yoga are all important to well-being.MIND: We all seek happiness. It is important to distinguish what things lead to true, lasting fulfillment, joy and happiness.SPIRIT: We all want peace. We want peace for ourselves, our families, our nations and the world at large. Peace comes from within.
