Author, reader, feeder of strays. Laura Wiess is the author of the critically acclaimed Simon & Schuster YA novels Such a Pretty Girl, Leftovers, How It Ends, Ordinary Beauty and in February 2014, Me Since You. Exploring issues such as sexual abuse, suicide, addiction, abandonment and betrayal, she writes about young adults caught in desperate conditions, armed with little more than hope and fighting to survive. Originally from central New Jersey, Laura followed her passion for land to the woods of Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains region. A lifelong animal lover, she is a spay/neuter advocate, maintains a small TNR semi-feral cat community, and enjoys a respectful if occasionally hair-raising co-existence with the deer, porcupines, coyotes, rattlesnakes and bears living around her.Visit Laura's website http://www.laurawiess.com or find her on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

There are only about 210 pages, so it’s a relatively short book. I’d say the only thing wrong with the book is that it doesn’t really go anywhere. That doesn’t mean...

Such a Pretty Girl depicts a community where the tension doesn't simmer; it's explosive. The only way to protect the community is to provoke the offender into re-offending, and Meredith offers herself up as the sacrificial lamb. She's in no way reluctant, though she must battle her fears to complete...

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH. My mind has been bleating the said word when I fully realized that Me Since You is going to be one hell of a boring read. The characters endlessly wallowed on grief to the point that I was exhausted by it all. And friends, this book was supposed to make me cry particularly that its...
