Lauren Starkey (www.laurenstarkey.com) is a freelance writer of 21 books, including the two-volume Write Your Way into College, which covers the basics of good essay writing, and explains best approaches for the college application and SAT/ACT essays. She also writes a national column on college admissions and co-leads the popular SAT Bootcamp (www.satbootcamp.us), a four-hour workshop that teaches the strategies students need to raise their scores. As the author of ten books on careers, ranging from teaching to law enforcement, Lauren has conducted interviews with FBI agents, hotel managers, yoga instructors, and paralegals. She currently writes a monthly newsletter for one of the country's premier business schools, covering cutting-edge topics in marketing, strategy, finance, and management.Lauren started her career in publishing with the Oxford English Dictionary, where she worked as Senior Editorial Assistant for eight years.
