Laurie has been writing for over 45 years, starting when she was 14 years old on her first inspirational mystery/romance novel. She also used to write for a free publication for over 25 years called The Wilderness Cry, in which people share their trials in life and how God has helped them. Whether it's non-fiction or a novel, Laurie's goal is to encourage people with personal issues to build character in the midst of their trials.Battling various odd diseases over the years, Laurie has often written about them in the Wilderness Cry. Now she offers personal health stories in a series of books called "Something's Wrong." This series is intended to help others who suffer from hidden maladies or have a loved one in a health crisis.Laurie enjoys helping fellow authors with editing and publishing. Years ago, she used to simplify books and portions of the Bible for new adult readers. These works are still published by Project Read in Georgia, with some used copies available on Amazon.Laurie also loves gardening, calligraphy, quilting, puzzles, and word games.
