This was an okay anthology. I think the stories started out strong when they were directly involving the canon or time period of Dracula, but the last few stories set in modern times were... really bad, in my opinion. I skimmed them. One thing about the anthology is that, considering the source mate...

I found this book whilst browsing the shelves at my local library, the front cover intrigued me and the genre even more so. I love horror novels and when I noticed that this had a LGBT theme I thought 'how brilliant!', I didn't hesitate to pick this up. Once I got the book home I decided to look up ...
A well written morality tale of how rational fear and ignorant bigotry can create a perfect storm of mindless violence that lays waste to the guilty and the innocent alike.Highly recommended.

It will be up to the local Sherriff and his small staff to guard the town against the beasts that are hungry to find salvation, thru bloodshed. This one is part ...
I had already read most of these stories in other anthologies.Liked:“Hot Eyes, Cold Eyes,” Lawrence Block (one of my favorite short stories)“Nunc Dimittis,” Tanith Lee (all of her short stories are excellent)“The Girl with Hungry Eyes,” Fritz Leiber“Tallulah,” Charles de Lint“The Snake Woman’s Lover...
I was pretty excited to get an ARC of this brand-new book...Unfortunately, none of the stories included are actually new - I'd read the bulk of the book before. This doesn't mean these aren't good stories... but if you're a fan of many of these authors, as I am, you've probably already read these.Al...
4.5 stars. Very good historical gay suspense/horror set in small-town Texas during WWII, when the brutal murder of two boys has emotions running high against the Germans in town. Be prepared for a very disturbing read.
If these were the best stories of the year it couldn't have been the best harvest they've had in a while. There was only one story I really like and it was the last one in the book. There were about other two I kind of liked but fell flat by the middle of the story. Interesting ideas, but lacking on...
I've read two of these stories. Caitlin Kiernan is bizarre, poetic, dreamy, surrealistic, and disturbing as always. The other story was about a man married to a Japanese woman who had bizarre night habits. He interrupts her and makes things a whole lot worse. This was a very horrifying story. I st...
