Leonard Nimoy was best known all over the world for his starring role and for his portrayal of Spock in the Star Trek: The Original Series Universe. And that's the starring role and that's the portrayal that kind of stuck with him for a large portion of his life, because of Star Trek's phenomena and...

So I was a bit wary to start this. I really really wanted to love it. And I did. It was well written, witty, informative and honest. I learnt more about the story behind Star Trek, how TOS came to being, who influenced certain stories or characters and so on. And it had a great flow. Ab...

"Why, of course I know him! My son watches him on TV all the time!" And she reached out to shake my hand. "You're Leonard Spock!"let me confess up front that i'm a trekkie, i love everything about star trek and i worship leonard nimoy (and of course the character he portrayed, spock). having said th...
Leonard Nimoy describes how too much time without emotional expression on the set used to make him break down crying. He or his publishers printed another book called I Am Spock, mostly with material from I am Not Spock.
An excellent autobiography by a multi-talented performer, I Am Spock is a direct follow-up/response to Nimoy's somewhat controversial original autobiography I Am Not Spock, which alienated him in some fan circles. Funny, informative. He explains a lot of his early attitudes toward his character. He also relates a lot about his directing and other roles. Leonard comes across as a little self centered and somewhat narcissistic but i guess most actors are. Worth reading if you are a Star Trek fan at all.
I appreciate what Nimoy is trying to do and laud him for taking a stab at people's biases. But it is clear to me from this book that he is still afraid of fat women. There are only a couple of photos that can in anyway be consider sexy or even sensual. Most of them are group shots as if he were afra...
I have a deeper respect for Nimoy after I read this book. If you are a ligh or heavy ST fan, this is a must read.
