I would use this in a primary or middle school classroom as a way to introduce the topic of identity and multiculturalism. It would be a great introduction to study about other cultures and "who I am." Gorgeous illustrations!

I liked this picture book that normalizes occasional sadness into something that is easily recognized, and potentially less isolating for children. I really like the illustrations, too. Inspired by the after effects of Katrina by a native of New Orleans, it is a useful tool for reaching out to child...

Both my girls have enjoyed this book.A simple and clear message that wherever we live, however we look or dress, underneath we are all just people. Brightly colored illustrations give the reader plenty to look at.
