Lachlan was such a sympathetic character, so sweet and kind and beaten-down by wretched circumstances. It was delightful to watch him begin to open his heart again and to let go of the bitterness caused by things in his past.

I enjoyed reading this story; the development between Lachlan and Haven progressed at a nice pace. I especially liked that Lachlan's perspective of his own situation changed and that there was no insta-love, but the beginning of a possible relationship. How about a sequel?
