Mr. Webb has written a short story that seems too real to be comfortable. There is no softening the blow, no euphemisms for tender sensibilities, just truth in all its rawness and grit... and I wouldn't have wanted to miss a word!

A wonderful, short story. I had to cry, but it ended on a sweet note.

Nice and sweet and delightfully sad. Well written, even though the ending felt just a little bit rushed. Plus I can't help but like things featuring masculine queens (Azis and Uriel Yekutiel have so opened my eyes).

Gah!!! How can such a short little book pack such a punch? So, so well done. The story was both heartbreaking and beautiful. I think it takes an incredibly talented author who can bring characters to life in so few words. My brain and heart are mush right now. Just read it.

I had no idea it was going to be like this:"I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him closely, noticing how small he felt in my grasp. Couldn’t this moment go on forever? I wanted him, so fucking badly, but even then, as a dumb kid, I think I knew there were no more powerful words than that. More ...

I couldn't put this on my angsty-goodness shelf -- it's too... real. There's a little romance as a framing device, but this primarily a tragic love story, one that far too many people really experienced.
