This book is a simple study of flower photography and it is ENTIRELY pictorial. The vast majority of images we taken in studio with two light sources and a variety of neutral backdrop papers. Usually the main light was up, to the left of the photographer and somewhat high to the subject; about 30 degrees elevated and bounced from a 36 inch white umbrella. The unit used was an Alien Bees B1600 adjusted to output f16 at the subject as measured by a Sekonic strobe meter. The second light used was an old Vivitar 283 flash unit placed behind and right of the subject. It was trigger by an add-on slave unit and adjusted to output f5.6 at the subject.A variety of cameras were used, both film and digital and all equipped with medium telephoto macro lenses and fixed focus prime lenses for larger area images.
