I don't really care for characters you're not supposed to like, for a doom-and-gloom tone and a plot that's either dreary and self-destructive or where nothing really happens.The only parts I liked were the exam in the beginning and the notion of geese.
I gave this book 3 stars instead of 2 only because it was a quick read and I did enjoy being transported to the fantasy world. However, everything past the graduation had me gritting my teeth with annoyance.
