I was a bit anxious about going on my recent trip, so I wanted something that’d be easy to sink into, so I gave this a go. It follows a group of people from various walks of life that go to a health retreat for 10 days. The book was told in multiple viewpoint, from the perspective of the guests at...

I actually did not get a chance to read Big Little Lies before I watched it on Amazon Prime. I think I binged the first season the same day and the second season the following weekend. I have to admit I really liked the show and as a reader I definitely do not want to judge the book by the series, s...

I thank NetGalley and the publisher (Michael Joseph UK) for providing me an ARC copy of this novel that I freely chose to review. I’ve read and reviewed two novels by Moriarty, Little Big Lies and Truly, Madly, Deadly, quite different but enjoyable. The first one is funnier, sharper, wittier, and fl...

Jessica and Ben Chandler have b...

Those first introduced to Liane Moriarty with her novel Big Little Lies and its subsequent Netflix series may not recognize the author from her newest outing, Nine Perfect Strangers. Moriarty provides her trademark page-turning thrills and some big reveals, but her most recent novel has a lighter to...

Dear book designers: a rainbow on a book jacket currently means Gay. While I support inclusion, and appreciate it, in this context, it is misleading. I get not wanting it to look girly, but I think I would have gone more in the crime vernacular. Not that it matters about selling it to me, I was goin...

I am happy to say I enjoyed The Husband's Secret almost as much as I did Big Little Lies, and for similar reasons: great character work and insights. Looking forward to more books from the author!

Great quote from Liane Moriarty's The Last Anniversary. Delightful. Liane Moriarty’s novel The Last Anniversary is a wonderful blend of chick lit, drama and cozy mystery. Moriarty’s protagonist Sophie Honeywell projects the image of an independent, sophisticated 39-year-old career woman who knows ...
