Of the eight romance novels I’ve read over the last two years, I’ve only rated three better than 2 stars. That’s a lot of bad romance, especially considering the affection with which I used to regard the genre. I was surprised and delighted to find that Lies By Midnight bucks this sorry trend. Perha...

This is an interesting romance set "late in the reign of Queen Victoria" and it throws you into the story from the get-go. You first meet Concordia Glade and her young students as they are running away from the burning castle they've been staying in. This is also the moment that Ambrose Wells enters...

I really enjoyed Lie by Moonlight, and I think a huge part of its charm was listening to it on audio. This novel is definitely different from her other novels though I haven't read the first few Vanza novels before this one. One of the best romance books I have read in a really long time. The ending even left a happy tearful smile on my face.

Stoner was the rogue Vanza student of the master Lorring - Stoner was the one sent by Lorring to kill or hinder Edison Stokes in the 2...

This was a fast read with a decent mystery. Four "orphan" girls are being trained as ladies? Gee, I wonder what these girls are going to be doing. . . .I enjoyed this story with the smart and logical Concordia.

Some absolutely delightful exchanges! Laugh out-loud moments. A solid romance and a perfectly acceptable "mystery."... 3.4.
