I was so excited! Mr. Harper, my choir teacher, got me a scholarship to Singing Camp this summer. Not only that, but he said that we'd be practicing all summer with Melissa, the star soprano. I thought she was beautiful, and she finally seemed to take notice of me as well. However, when we arrived at Mr. Harper's house for practice, it was clear that he had no intention of listening to us sing. While Melissa was very excited about his attention, I was more apprehensive. Unfortunately, he decided he had to teach us both a harsh lesson, hard and unprotected, whether I wanted it or not!
