When it comes time for someone to compose a few last words about me, I really hope that one of my friends thinks to comment: "Well, she sure did like to explore stuff!" My life has consisted of long periods where I was firmly planted in one spot and had no prospect of taking off; as opposed to the rarer times when I could follow my heart on wild, world-conquering, solo exploration treks. Such as rambling all over the former Soviet Union, or Eastern Europe, or out-of-the-way beauty spots like Croatia or Romania. Then, I'd get planted again for awhile and that rootedness usually resulted in a book. My first, Hey Boomers, Dust Off Your Backpacks: Travel The World on a Limited Budget, tells of the time I backpacked around the world alone for a year, living only on Social Security. Writing, journaling, and having inner conversations with a Voice in my Head has defined me for half of my life. The inner work was exploration of another kind and decades of written material record those thoughts, as well. Books resulted. Some of these books are in the form of Questions and Answers with my Upper Advisors and other material is fictional in my attempt to sort it all out and find ways to apply my knowledge to the earthly plane. The next two books: In Secret Diffusion: The Upper Realm Answers Question About Earth, and, And Yet A Little While, fall into that spiritual exploration category. More of these will soon follow. My movie scripts will be posted on www.studios.amazon.com, beginning in January, 2011. As you might imagine, I'm going through a decade when it is impossible for me to throw on my backpack and take up more global circumnavigation. Family obligations keep me at home. This is very good for the writing career and I'm generating "stuff" just as fast as I can against the day when I can go back to living out of hostels. Guess you could say that I'm in a race with the writers of my obituary! Only they will know exactly how much "stuff" I was able to stir up for thorough examination.
