Phoenix resident Linda Johnson attended Arizona State University where she received a degree in Political Science. The summer after graduation she worked in Washington, D.C., then went to Spain for a year, where she earned a Diploma in Hispanic Studies from the University of Barcelona. Ms. Johnson then entered a career with the U. S. Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland and later continued her occupation in demography with the State of Arizona. She is now retired and enjoying her lifelong interests as an artist and equestrian.Linda became interested in political science in high school. The governing principle of equal representation influenced her career choice and she has a continuing interest in the importance of an informed electorate in a democratic society. She also learned about the criminal trial process along the way, as she's sat on the jury of three criminal trials: first in municipal court, later in federal court and most recently a high profile capital murder trial in superior court. In "Juror Number Three", Linda shares her insight and knowledge from a juror's perspective and gives the reader a better understanding of the jury process and how it can impact our lives.
