I wasn't expecting to like this book but I ended up loving it! Even though it's fairly obvious what's going to happen in parts, the small twist at the end got me. And I couldn't help feeling awful for thr antagonist. It's more a drama than a thriller though so don't expect it to be one.
There seems to have been a lot Novels published in the last six months with child abduction or child disappearances as the main theme and while I have read a few of these novels I am now tiring of the theme. I sometimes wonder if publishers encourage or set themes for novels which they think match...
I want very much to give this 3.5 stars. An interesting book as from the outset we know what is happening with the child who has been abducted. I didn't find it particularly gripping but rather there was an overall sadness throughout the book that made me want to read on. There were several points...
