Linda Lerner, born in Brooklyn N.Y., daughter of a Russian immigrant father, and American born mother is the author of 14 poetry collections, several of which were chosen as a pick of the month by Small Press Review. New York Quarterly Books just published "Takes Guts & Years Sometimes (New & Selected Poems,June, 2011). Twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, She received a Puffin Foundation Grant & Ludwig Vogelstein Grant for the Vietnam Veterans / Poets issue (no.6&7--1997/'98)for Poets on the Line, the anthology she and Andrew Gettler founded in 1995.
