In early 2002, when her young son developed asthma, Lindsey Carmichael began an extensive research process that eventually led her to receive a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of New Hampshire. While in graduate school, Lindsey's eyes were opened to the disturbing reality that many of the products we consume contain ingredients known to pose a threat to human health, particularly the health of children. Her role as mother to a young child fueled her desire to create a resource guide that made it easy for others to identify safe food, personal care, and cleaning products.Lindsey has worked in the healthcare field for 15 years and is a frequent speaker about healthy 'green' living. She lives on the New Hampshire Seacoast with her husband and son.
