Let me start off by saying that I did not like the first story of this three short-story collection. The main character of Goblin Fruit was a foolish, boy-obsessed, ignorant girl who was willing to do stupid things just to have a boy like her. I didn't much care for the "plot", and though I found th...
Reading this book was like eating a very sweet and delicious cake. Okay, that may sound like a weird thing to say, but hear me out. Lips Touch: Three Times is like cake because both are beautiful, both are delicious and it feels good when you consume it (although obviously you're not eating the boo...
Tl;dr |✭✭✭✭✩| Overall, these were rather enjoyable stories. My favorite was Spicy Little Curses, and the other two were good, but in my opinion not as good. Hatchling was a little odd, and felt a little too long to me. And Goblin Fruit was kind of your typical, girl thinks she's ugly and attracts th...
Taylor's writing is exceptionally beautiful. Her prose is just a style unto its own, and Lips Touch is no different. Having first read (and loved) Daughter of Smoke & Bone as well as Days of Blood & Starlight, I found this book - published before her others - a bit rougher & less polished in terms o...
I loved how Taylor infused fairy tales with Indian and Persian folklore elements. This is sweet, fresh, YA Paranormal worldbuilding here, friends, with lovely succulent prose, and I'll be looking forward to more of Taylor's works.

I’m always somewhat impressed by Laini Taylor’s choice in character names. They’re highly unusual and, yet, she makes them work. I thought these three short stories were well written, but nothing to get too excited about. I will admit, it’s fun to see someone create their own fairy tales :). Ever si...
3.5 stars. It's a collection of three stories, and I didn't care much for the first one, to be honest. On the other hand, I found "Hatchling" quite fascinating; definitely my favourite.
