V was in a band called The Sugar Skulls. I totally didn't understand this story in any way and quickly lost interest. I wouldn't recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review
Audiobook rating: 3 starsBook rating: 2.5 starsInitial thoughts: You'd think a book about a girl with a clockwork heart would be memorable. Alas, I can't say that is the case for Ticker. Thinking about what happened in the book, my memory's already hazy about the plot, as though I had read it months...
What a delightfully whimsical book! This is another book I've had on my shelves for ages and never got around to reading. And I'm glad I did because its light and fun and immensely enjoyable. Set in a magical theater which features all the characters from every play ever written, you're plunged in...
A pretty cover and an original idea should be the basis of a great book. Unfortunately, Ticker failed to make my expectations come true. I just couldn't get into this book. I was open to reading steampunk. I love discovering new genres. But, I just couldn't get past all of the steampunk technology. I think the story has good potential. Unfortunately, for me, I got distracted by the details.
