Noah Marshall had been living a comfortable and privileged life thanks to his mother, the highly decorated chief of the Austin Police Department. But he becomes worried and frustrated as her drinking increases. He comes home one night and she lets out bits and pieces of secrets she's been carrying a...

While highly implausible and a little bit preachy, this was a simple book that was easy to read and kept me engaged. Other reviews commented that the characters were annoying. I don't know about that, I did however, find that a lot of the premise between Amelia and Matthew was based on unresolved...

Terrible. Absolutely terrible and really disappointing. The writing was sloppy and disjointed. The entire book was telling what happened and never showing. A page turner this was not and I have no idea why I finished this instead of pulling the bookmark after 100 pages. An excellent idea for a ...

Hard to put this book into words. A very compelling read with very intricate characters.

This book.. I feel it needs more recognition.. it pains me that not many people know about it and that I stopped fervently recommending it to people, but I will start doing that. One of the best realistic contemporaries I have ever read. So emotional, so heartbreaking, and so real!

As the story goes back and forth from David and Kyra's memories to their present-day sufferings, the reader is left to guess as to Michael's whereabouts and to the identity of his ...

Oh my gosh, this book is good and really well written, but these characters are really leaving me sad and depressed and that is during some of the happier times in the book! It is like a slow moving car crash that you are watching but can't turn away from!

This is one of the better chick lit selections I have come upon recently. The story -- following a twentysomething who leaves her secluded home for the first time and learns the true story of her background -- is unique. The theme -- that life can pivot on one day, a single event -- is a tad overdon...
