I loved it! I laughed throughout the book, but the beginning was the funniest. The story is told by Joseph, who says the funniest things. The running joke is squirrel related, rabid tree squirrel actually. It didn't really feel like insta-love because the way the story is structured made me think mo...
Holy crap, all I can picture in my head about the main character is that he is a yappy little terrier dog. I mean I love the exclamation point, I use it a lot on comments, but to use it this much in a published book? It’s a bit much, and it made me dislike the main character. So it’s not that I hate...
This book is definitely of a type. I put this author in the same category as Etienne and William Neale (but way more hyper), whose books I can read quite contentedly and then forget immediately.
Little Squirrels Can Climb Tall Trees was such a sweet romantic book. I loved Kyle and Joseph as a couple and as individual characters. Kyle got my sympathy from the beginning and Joseph just won my approval by being such a good boyfriend to him.The mix of humor with some sad/serious stuff made this...
Hmmm, how to rate this? On the one hand, it had som extremely funny scenes (this includes the sex scenes) and I laughed a lot, on the other hand the last half of the book was rushed and included scenes that didn't feel related to the plot at all. 4 stars for the LOLs and 2 for the rest, I'll meet in...
A quick, sweet read. The first person perspective was humorous and it helped move this story forward.I really liked the character of Kyle, he was sweet and sheltered. Although to be honest, I really found part of his life rather hard to believe, but heck, this is fiction! So, if you are looking for...
This book started out less than promising; it's written in Joseph's 1st person POV, and during the entirety of the first chapter, the reader has to endure what I can only describe as an ode to penises in general and to Kyle's cock in particular. At first, I was amused and then increasingly bemused a...
1.5 stars. Extremely uneven but ultimately meh m/m romance set in NYC about a short and excessively exuberant guy who woos a much taller and rather naive doctor from Oklahoma. The biggest problems I had with the book were the ludicrous number of exclamation points and the tendency to go into excessi...
I love a funny book but I think the humour became too much here, turning what should have been emotional high points into sketch comedy. The pet names became too much as well, and the book should have ended at the proposal instead of continuing on to include the mess of a holiday.
