Book source ~ ARC. My review is voluntary and honest. Toronto native David Lloyd’s assault by fellow officers because he is gay was brutal, but he couldn’t prove in a court of law that it was them since he never saw their faces. The far reaching effects of his injuries resulted in his being unable...

I have to agree with my friend, Anke on this. I enjoyed Liz Strange's David Lloyd Investigations series but this one didn't live up to the novels. Maybe because of the short format *shrugs*. The premise was good, David and his grandmother's live-in boyfriend John, solving a 50-years-old mystery. BUT...

There were a LOT of things happening in this book!! For a story in which David was roped into a case to look for a missing PAINTING that is last owned by a murdered businessman, the case expanded into so many things. Let's see, I will copy paste a paragraph from this book that summarized the progres...

So, I finished it and I think, this is even better than the first book of the series! A well thought-out solving of a crime, the relationship of David and Jamie moving forward at a believable pace. These guys are just too cute and yes, even hot although no on-page-sex (which is very nice for a chang...

Private detective David Lloyd returns in this 2nd book after 2011' Missing Daughter, Shattered Family. Nathan Klassen and his two friends, Alex Snider and John Dean has been imprisoned for murder of two boys for the past ten years. Last Christmas John Dean committed suicide. Now, Sandra Klassen, Nat...

Very good m/m mystery in which David agrees to look into a case that's been closed for a decade, as the evidence that sent three young men to jail for killing two boys was flimsy and circumstantial. In a shocking development, I figured out who the real killer was the first time said killer appeared ...

Very good m/m mystery (with a bit of romance) about a cop-turned-PI who's hired to find a troubled young woman. The case becomes increasingly complex, and he finds himself dealing with unresolved issues from his own past. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series!
