Lori Leger (1958) was born sixth of eight children in the tiny town of Gueydan, Louisiana where her mother, a retired teacher's aide, still resides. She knew she had a knack for writing her senior year of high school when she breezed through Miss Lucille Saltzman's Advanced Composition class. However, she didn't write her first book until she was forty-nine. By then, she was well into a fourteen year career as a road design drafter with LADOTD, and thirteen years into her second marriage. She and her husband have five wonderful children between the two of them...all out on their own now. Though they love having the house to themselves, they adore getting frequent visits from their children and ten grandchildren. In March of 2012, she resigned from her eighteen plus year career with the state to pursue her dream of writing full-time. Lori has five books published in her La Fleur de Love series, stories based in her beloved home of Louisiana. Her spin-off series, Halos & Horns continues with tales of some of the first series' juiciest supporting roles. It combines her lovable Louisiana characters with equally tantalizing treats from the great state of Texas. Her stories are filled with snappy dialogue, well-developed characters, heart-felt emotional challenges, and tender romances sprinkled with humor and even suspense. Extremely proud of her Cajun heritage, Lori will always strive to inject a touch of Cajun Flair into her stories by means of dialect, customs, food, and characters that are intelligent, witty, and lovable.
