This book features exotic locals that are described beautifully. It’s too bad that the rest of the book couldn’t be as good. The storytelling was disjointed and would abruptly end with characters popping up out of nowhere with no real explanation of what actually happened.
This was a fun crime novel with crisp writing, a complex plot that never bogged down, and some highly unique characters.
Great fun. Excellent characters, complex plot. Really looking forward to Whiplash River coming out tomorrow. This is like classic Elmore Leonard, and it keeps the pages turning!
