What a beautiful read. I must say I had a difficult time with this book though. I thought reading Those Who Save Us was difficult. This book was more difficult for me because it involved Jewish children during WWII Poland. In my opinion, it is a must read.
Many writers make use of fairy tale motifs in thier writing. Murphy isn't even the first writer to make use of such motifs in a tale set during the Holocaust. Yolen's Briar Rose pre dates this.
