I really liked Joshua's story. His cravings, his fight out of depression were written fantastically, but the relationship between him and Eli lacked any chemistry. And Eli calling him 'son' really creeped me out.

Overall, I liked it. There were a couple scenes in the middle that kinda threw me off. They didn't really fit the tone of rest of the book, but I still enjoyed it.

He agrees to go to his uncle's ranch to recover and learn the business...

2.45 stars While this was a very well written story (and had cowboys), and had a slow burning romance with some angsty parts, there were just some things that I ended up having a problem with that took away from the story. Eli calling Joshua "son", way too many times, made him seem like he was clos...

4.5 starsI am a huge fan of the movie, Donnie Brasco, which, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you do so. It reminded me so much of Joshua and what he went through being so deep undercover for so long that he had trouble keeping the different persona's separate. What he had seen and endur...
