I read this awhile ago and it's my favorite of this series -- loved Eli and the entire romance. Living in Lancaster County as I do, I enjoyed stories with Amish characters and this one was realistic and delightful.
Not really my type of story. The story was very simple and predictable. It had a very unfinished and immature feel - as if the main characters were teenagers. The characters remained shallow and cliched: "the most beautiful", "the most caring", "the kindest", "the sweetest" - you get the idea. This wasn't bad but I found a lot of scenes that appeared in the A Shared Range which were in this book it seemed that the author didn't like how they turned out in this book and tweaked them a bit and placed them in Range.

It had me teary eyed a few times, but overall, it was just a great, sweet story about a farm boy, who wanted to be a city boy, that found love with an amish (!!) boy, and lived happily ever after..Yeah ok, so there ...
"Hmm... I'm sick of sleeping around and that guy looks cute, so I think I'll just check and see if he's gay, and then we'll live happily ever after."Too simple, too easy. Boring.
