I like this series but I really don't like the way Andrew Grey writes kid characters. That's why I stopped reading these. Jakie makes my teeth hurt. It was pleasant to see some of my boys again. This time around someone is out to hurt Eli.
3.5 starsAnother nice one with an adorable kid.
I intentionally chose to read this book. I had a craving for a sweet story following a known formula. However this book did not focus on a new couple, rather was about how busy and overworked Eli and Geoff were. Eli gets sick and this forces them to realise they need to take more time to themselves....
Eli and Geoff were my favourite couple so I was so pleased to revisit them here. I did wish the storyline was more suspenseful instead of going the CSI/Law and Order route where everything is wrapped up with a nice little bow at the end of an hour, but it was lovely to see the boys again.
Nice to visit, but predictable.
