by J.R. Ward
Another fabulous installment of the BDB series!J.R. Ward manages to keep me gripped for the duration of all her books with her unique style (always guaranteed to read one of these books in only one or two sittings). She beautifully balances romance and hot sex with lots of action and humour, continu...
I dislike the gratuitous violence in the Black Dagger series. I dislike the coarse language. But Ward is such a brilliant writer I can't stop buying this series. Her characterisations and understanding of human (er, should that be vampire?) relationships is moving and intense. Tohr's struggle with h...
This was not at all in the same spirit as the other BDB books, and I missed the fighting and the fun and the fellowship the brothers usually have between them. This was sad, dreary, and not all that inspiring. Also, I felt like we readers have been teased with Blay and Qhuinn for a very long time, a...
Very disappointing. I didn't believe in their love, it was forced. I didn't care for what JM had to go through in this book. The last two books in the series has been a revisit of previous plots when they failed and try getting them right. It didn't work the first time, and it didn't work this time.
4 StarsI liked this story, but wasn’t WOW’d by it, so not possible for me to give it more than 4 Stars. I’ll tell you what I liked and didn’t like about this read. What did I like about this story?1 – NO LESSERS!! Yippee!! I was so sick of those baby-powder smellin’ dudes! I skimmed much of the last ...
I'm finished! I'm finished!Wow, what a journey. As usual, I'll come back to write a (hopefully) brief review when my heart slows down. But I think I'll stick to the 4 stars =)**EDIT**Thor and No'OneThings I liked: Their journey to happiness. How they helped each other to grow and heal. Thor broke my...
A solid 4 star rating. I found this book to be entertaining, emotional and sometimes infuriating. For me, the women were the shining stars of this book, with some fabulous moments from Xhex, Autumn/No'one and Layla. While this book was called Tohr's book, and it resolved Tohrment's grieving for Well...
Think I'm getting kind of bored with these. It was too long, Tohr & Autumn made me crazy, & the slang really annoyed me. I think Xhex & JM were my favorite part.
May 17th 2011Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Qhuay! Tohr who? ;oP------------------------------March 27th (finished at 01.30 in the morning, so technically it's the 28th I guess)Done.. And I dont know what to say really. I should be happy, I should be freaking out, crazy exci...
I was nowhere near as excited for this one as I have been for others in the series. Tohr was so happy with his Wellsie, I didn't really want to read about him falling in love with someone else. And then reading it i just got so frustrated with both him and No'One/Autumn. Neither one seemed very s...
