I was born and raised in England, where I still live. I began my writing career doing features for magazines, sometimes interviewing famous people like Michael Caine, Warren Beatty, Charlton Heston, and sometimes gaining wonderful new experiences like camping out with lions in Africa. With a love of travel, I went to Venice, where I met a Venetian man. In that magical city we fell in love and got engaged in two days. Years later we are still together. What else could I be but a writer of romances? I've written over ninety books for Harlequin. Along the way I've been lucky enough to pick up a few awards. I've won the Romance Writers of America's RITA award twice, with SONG OF THE LORELEI (1991) and HIS BROTHE'S CHILD (1998), and finalled with A PEARL BEYOND PRICE (1989), FOR THE LOVE OF EMMA (1997) and GINO'S ARRANGED BRIDE (2005) , Many of my books are set in Italy, especially Venice. But I still travel a lot, and some of my recent productions have been set against new horizons such as Greece and China. Next stop, Russia. And after that - who knows? There are so many places to explore. As well as modern stories I've enjoyed writing historicals under the name Penelope Stratton. Come and meet me on my website: www.lucy-gordon.com
