Harry Dresden--Wizard Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment. Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more...

But this book did have him feeling sorry for himself quite a bi...

Note: Even though this is Book 2 in the series, it works fine as a stand alone. Werewolves! Chicago has enough problems without werewolves and PI wizard Harry Dresden has enough problems without the FBI being involved. Harry put some serious strain on his friendship with Lt. Karin Murphy in Book 1...

I liked Butcher's take on werewolves in this second book of the Dresden files. Harry's continuing tension with Murphy, and the fact that they both realize they need each other to help with the onslaught of supernatural disasters that are occurring more frequently makes for a real page turner.

This time around, Dresden is pulled into another police investigation that appears to have a supernatural twist. Police Lt. Karin Murphy, still having a bit a trouble trusting Dresden after some issues last spring (previous book), reluctantly brings in Dresden when it looks like there may be one or ...
