Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series: Book #1, The Vampire Shrink. Book #2, Blood Therapy. Book #3, Crimson Psyche. The 2008 novel, Dark Harvest is no longer part of this series. Please read the newest editions of the series books.Lynda Hilburn, author of the Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series, writes paranormal fiction. More specifically, she writes stories about vampires, witches, psychics, ghosts and other supernatural characters. After a childhood filled with invisible friends, sightings of dead relatives and a fascination with the occult, turning to the paranormal was a no-brainer. In her other reality, she makes her living as a licensed psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, professional psychic/tarot reader, university instructor and workshop presenter. The first novel in the series, "The Vampire Shrink" -- which introduced us to Denver Psychologist Kismet Knight and a hidden vampire underworld -- was released by Quercus Books (UK/Europe), September, 2011, and Sterling Publishing/Silver Oak (North America), April, 2012. Blood Therapy, book #2, released in the UK, September, 2012 and in the USA, Feb., 2013. "Crimson Psyche," book #3, publishes in the UK in January, 2014. USA Mass Market versions of all three books are due 3/2015. Several more books in the series are planned. E-versions of her vampire novella, "Undead in the City," her short stories, "Diary of a Narcissistic Bloodsucker," "Devereux: The Night Before Kismet," "Sex in a Coffin" and "Blood Song," are available on Amazon.com and other sites. A Kismet Knight mini-story, "Until Death Do Us Part," is permanently free on Amazon. I really liked this series (what I read of it). The story line was very original and creative. To the average person I think the psychologist part may be viewed as a bit cheesy (and at times it was tolerably cheesy), but to someone (such as myself) who loves psychology it makes for an interesting tw...

Opening Line: "My involvement with vampires began innocently enough." Dr. Kismit Knight is a respected Denver Psychologist who doesn't believe in the paranormal. She especially doesn't believe in Vampires. Kismit's character has been written like a real person, not your average romance heroine, s...

Up to the point where she was involved in a ceremony where nothing was explained and everybody just kept going "later" to her I liked this story. However, this was a sticking point for me. It's a lazy cliche being used in too many books to bind the heroine to the supernatural creature without actu...
