Both artist and author, Lynne met her husband, Shawn, on a high school journalism trip that included a stop at Disney World and The Haunted Mansion. Their spooky inspiration down memory lane has led them to create their own home haunt called, The Mitchell Cemetery, for the past five years. They were featured on FeatNet's online series, Route 666, America's Scariest Haunted Houses in 2007. They turned their love of Halloween into a home haunter how-to book called, How to Haunt Your House, and plan to do at least two more.Lynne Mitchell studied at Memphis College of Art achieving a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was awarded the Emeriti Fellowship metal. Since leaving college she has worked in the printing and publishing industry, become a multi-media specialist and written and co-authored several books (To Touch the Whale, A Novel and How to Haunt Your House, book 1). Lynne continues to pursue her own artistic interests, focusing on photography and digital painting.
