This romantic suspense had lots of exciting action from beginning to end. I could believe the progression of the relationship because of the extreme circumstances. I liked the honesty of the hero and heroine. SEAL Zane and his team are sent to rescue kidnapped ambassadors daughter Barrie.
Time for my LH fix...
I love this book! Usually, the older books of my favorite authors seem to lack refinement, and in the romantic suspense genre, also lack believability. But Linda Howard is almost always spot on. This is a fabulous book, and its only better that it's smack dab in the middle of the Mackenzie series...

I'm not sure I ever read this book before now. I thought I'd read it, but the details were very hazy. I enjoyed both Zane and Barrie, though I do wish there had been a bit more to their story. The long separation between them didn't allow for enough in the way of the romance.

Surprised by how much I still liked this. And, interestingly, it was only after I'd finished it that I thought of Zane Garrett. Zane Mackenzie is enough his own man that I was wrapped up in him (oh how I wish!).
