I still love this book so much! Kim and Mairelon are some of my favorite characters in the history of all time! I can't wait for the next reread!

I enjoyed both of the books in this omnibus edition - Mairelon the Magician and The Magician's Ward - quite thoroughly, having a hard time putting the book (or rather my Kindle) down, although I had to, of course; two books, even if neither overly long on their own, are a bit too much to read in one...

Even though it took me a while to get through these two books I enjoyed every minute. Kim is fantastic and Richard made me laugh a lot. What a sweet ending. I like when my books wrap up nicely after all it is fantasy!

Kim, a sometime pickpocket masquerading as a boy, is asked to look into Mairelon the Magician. She reluctantly agrees, with unexpected consequences. Enjoyable, but not as good as Wrede’s collaborative Kate and Cecelia series (Sorcery and Cecelia, The Grand Tour, and The Mislaid Magician).
