Yet another fantastic book by Maria V. Snyder. I have fallen in love with this world that she has created. It is so unique and interesting. The way that she weaves every detail in the book together is beautiful. I highly recommend!

⭐5 stars⭐"Living is a risk," I snapped at him. "Every decision, every interaction, every step, every time you get out of bed in the morning, you take a risk. To survive is to know you're taking that risk and to not get out of bed clutching illusions of safety."

Like the first book, this one also has a lot of rich world-building history and a well-rounded story that unfolds nicely. Some events feel rehashed, but still ties in with the plot properly. I DO find it rather amusing that it feels like a running gag that Yelena's life is never going to be peacef...

Not bad at all.I enjoyed the new interesting mix of characters, especially Moon Man. he was just a hoot with all his cryptic messages and ability to appear out of no-where - i hope at some point that Yelena will go study with him.I like how Yelena discovered her abilities and accepted who she was - ...
