I ended up buying the second in the series before I even finished this one so you could say I enjoyed it. Cardboard. The characters were cardboard, the conversation was wooden, and the story was derivative. This book has sat in my to-read pile for ages, and now that I finally got around to it, I really wanted to like it. I didn't.Bummer.
I am kicking myself for not reading this novel when published, my only excuse being I was a teenager with no funds and no connections (remember the state of the Internet in 1982?).
