I wouldn't suggest starting mid-series at this point: the history simply won't make sense. The original X-Men started with Wolverine and all ended up with Cyclops. Laura, aka X-23, is now involved. Having said that, I loved the Purifiers. Or I'm horrified by them, but I did enjoy reading ...
