A Mail Order Bride arrives in the West, only to discover that her intended husband is dead!

Olive Kelsey is 23 years old, living in a small Virginia town in 1869. She has numerous siblings, which has made her a little rough around the edges. She decides to grab at the opportunity for a life in the West as a mail order bride with high hopes of marrying a good, calm man who does not want many children. But when she arrives, she discovers that her intended husband is dead.

Eric Lewis, the deceased’s brother, is gentle mannered and very understanding of Olive’s predicament. She cannot but help find him handsome and wonder if he, perhaps, would have been a better match.

Will she be forced back to Virginia to live out an unhappy life or will she find the fulfillment of her dreams in Nevada?
