The financial sector of Ankh-Morpork is dire trouble and Lord Vetinari looks to his Postmaster General to solve the problem, however he doesn’t want the opportunity but somethings are out of his hands. Making Money is Terry Pratchett’s 36th Discworld novel and the second to follow the conman-turned...

Making Money is the second book in the Moist von Lipwig subseries of Discworld. I’m enjoying this subseries quite a bit; I’m sorry it only has three books. In this book, Moist von Lipwig finds himself unexpectedly involved in banking. The way in which this happens is pretty amusing, and the situ...

Heh. Poor Moist. In spite of his best effort, he finds himself running the bank (and the post office). Only, the bank is in trouble. It's...owned...by a family who treated the mountain of gold as their own, and apparently the vault full of gold is actually gold plated lead. uh oh... In the meantim...

I still expect to read my targe...

I really feel like Vetinari's depiction is getting off model.

Another great Discworld book, which more or less goes without saying I think sometimes. Moist gets his second starring role, and while I don't think this is as clever as Going Postal, but it takes a much wider view and gets a bit deeper into the politics of the city. Unfortunately, this takes some o...

A terrific book, one of the best in the series. The story follows the continuing adventures of Moist von Lipwig, which started in [b:Going Postal|64222|Going Postal (Discworld, #33)|Terry Pratchett|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347809016s/64222.jpg|1636617]. To tell the truth, in this ...

So, it didn’t take as long as I expected to get to my next Discworld novel. It didn’t hurt that a reader pointed me toward a good reading guide for the series, or that I found the one that followed the last one I read while browsing the library this weekend. And hey, while we’re on the topic of th...
