by Madeleine L'Engle
This series keeps going in weird directions, and I kinda dig it. I don't know how kids today would handle this, but adult me was taken in. 'Many Waters' is set some years before 'Swiftly Tilting Planet', likely the winter after 'A Wind in the Door'. The twins, Sandy and Dennys, are returning from ...
Oh dear... these books are not going to get any better, are they? I continue to read this series because I liked the first book. I thought the ideas were intriguing enough that I wanted to see more and more of this world. But it would seem the more I read, the more disappointed I become. Many Waters...
Many Waters by Madeleine L'Engle is about twin brothers who accidentally tamper with their father's experiment and get sent back in time to biblical prehistory where people live for hundreds of years and mythological creatures are commonplace. Retelling of the flood from Genesis. Interesting conjecture. (Very good author!)
Never read childhood favorites as an adult if you don't want them to lose their favorite status. The book is about 2 teenage twin boys who accidentally touch their father's science project and end up time traveling to a few months before the Great Flood with Noah and company. This was apparently ver...
