Marci Ameluxen was born, raised and still lives in Washington State and for most of her life has lived on islands. When not taming her garden or writing poetry she works as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. "What informs my poetry is intensity of experience, emotion, detail and passion for a stark, clean line. I like to see white space on the page," she says. Her poems have appeared in The Crab Creek Review, The Comstock Review, Waccamaw, The Madison Review, The Compass Rose, The Dirty Napkin, and Hospital Drive, among others.
