Wanda's traveling the world, trying to fix Witchcraft. Witchcraft seems to be separate from magic, by the way, as Wanda defines it as being used by women and something men are afraid of in the first issue. (Unless, perhaps, subverted by a man as the end of this issues implies.) In this issue, s...

I found it confusing, probably because while I like the first issue or so, I ended up not really caring by the time this volume was done. Unlikely that I'll continue: it was slow, it was convoluted, and it was time-travel (which I rarely enjoy.) Which is a shame, because the art is gorgeous.

Collects Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier [2014] #1-5Read as single issue comics on Marvel Unlimited reading app.I'm in love! It's all about the dreamlike story and art. What can I say about it? You really need to look at the pages to appreciate the stylized quality of the story and how it works toge...

Some places say this covers only issues 1-6, one said the whole series, but I couldn't find a volume two anywhere. Since I spent money on this whole series - a whopping 11 issues, compared to Spider-Man's 700 issue run, for example - I figured I'd read it all and review it all here. I liked Sup...

Then again, it's a good choice right now. I still am not crazy about him, but he doesn't drive me up the wall as much as he used to. My main problem with him was with how stuffy he was, and that made him a bit boring to me. I didn't even hate him, I just despised how vanilla he was. He hasn't...

I liked this one better than the first. I don't know if it's because it gives us some background on Alec and in particular how his fate became entangled with Abigail. The battle between the Green and the Rot feels epic. In this book, we see that the battle also involves the other vital force, the Re...

I don't have a frame of reference for this book, since all I know about it is the really cheesy movie that came out many moons ago with Adrienne Barbeau. I did read an older Hellblazer, where Swamp Thing pops in at the end, but that's about it. Overall, this was pretty good, but the subject matter i...

I loved the first volume of the New 52 Swamp Thing, and there are so many reasons for that love. One, it's written by Scott Snyder who in recent years has proved himself to be one of the better new talents in comic writing. Currently working on the main title for Batman, he's frequently proven capab...

I'll be honest, it took me an issue or two to get into this one. But once I did... Wow. I love the idea of the Swamp Thing being a warrior for the Green. Alec Holland was handled very well. I get his hesitation to become the creature again, and why he puts it off. The art is often stunning, just a p...
