Margaret is a Dental Hygiene Educational Consultant and Dental Science Technical Writer. She received her Masters degree in Oral Biology at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Seattle, WA, and her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene at Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI as well as a Certificate of Clinical Research Methods from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Margaret has many years of clinical experience, as well as an extensive background as an educator in both dental and dental hygiene schools. She is an Adjunct Faculty member for the BAS Degree Program in Allied Health with an Emphasis in Dental Hygiene at Seattle Central College, Seattle, WA. Her continuing work as a Tobacco Cessation Consultant for the state of Washington has been an asset to her community. She is the recent recipient of the ADHA A.C. Fones Award (2013) and the ADHA Award of Excellence (2009).Margaret has authored journal articles, as well as professional, office, and consumer newsletters, and also professional textbooks as primary author (see list) as well as contributing author (see webisite listed below). Her Continuing Education Seminars have been well received nationally and internationally; she has presented at both ADA and ADHA Annual Sessions as well as Yankee Dental Congress and three RDH Magazine Under One Roof. Margaret has been named Editor-in-Chief of the fourth edition of Mosby's Dental Dictionary as she has been part of the last three editions.
