Simone is about to lose the family business when her old flame Cade shows up and sets her on fire again. Cade believed her father when he said Simone was in on stealing his money for their benefit and now he is going to make her pay. A nice story.
My jaw dropped when I saw this was published in 1997. I'm used to Harlequins being ten, even twenty years out of date -- but thirty is pushing it. The "career-woman" hating hero is just ridiculous.
