Ima Excited!Hello, It's Ima Hogg here and that's my friend Margaret McManis riding my ostrich. He was a gift from my father, Governor James Stephen Hogg of Texas and boy do I love to ride him. Ms. Mac, as her friends know her is a writer and librarian and she did loads of research about me and my family to write two children's picture books about me. It was really fun watching and listening to her as she traveled all over to do her research. She even went to my favorite gardens in Versailles, France to research how I designed my gardens at Bayou Bend in Houston, Texas to look just like the gardens in France. And now she has decided to travel around the world and visit my other favorite locals. Next she is planning a trip to Egypt where I rode a camel around the Great Pyramids and then on to Hawaii where I met a princess and looked into a roaring volcano. What fun! Yes, I did have fun and now Ms. Mac is writing about all my adventures. When you read her books you will even find out the truth at last about my siblings. Ura, Hesa and Shesa Hogg. Have fun!
