Excellent beginning to a new series of YA sci-fi books. I'm looking forward to the next one (due in 2009, I believe)
Very intrigiung start to a new series from Haddix. She is good at interesting plots and suspense, but often falls short in the category of characterization and interpersonal connections. This one seemed to be better in those areas, so, most promising. Cannot wait for the next volume in this series!
